speaker box questions

what is the perfect amount of space for subs? 2 12in ( per speaker) or reasonable amount of space?




and is it bad to mount the amp on the speaker box? i have herd people say it but i dont know what to believe?

Very sub has specs. for the min. amount of air space and specs sealed or ported. And the problem with amp on bow is you make small air holes with screws. Not realy end of the world but to each his own.

it is sealed.... and from what i have read i figured about 1 cubic foot?


and about the amp, i read somewhere that it messed up the amp?

Have to read the specs for the sub I have seen 12's need 2.5ft

And it will not hurt the amp.

my speaker box now has like 2.7 ft3

but the one i am going to build is going to only have like 1.7 ft3 anyone know if this is going to be ok, or sound good/bad?


it is kinda the same directions as in the pdf but with some minor changes...
(anyone build the pdf almost exact and it sounds ok?)
