89 Turbo Trans Am radio problem

I have an 89 Turbo Trans Am with the stering wheel controls. Recently the sound to the speaks seems to shut off but I can still hear a little bit of hissing noice. It seems like there is a factory amp, relay or some other device that seems to click off or has a loose connection. Without warning the sound will kick in and out without rhyme or reason.

Has anybody delt with this issue or have any ideas as to what could be causing the problems?

Any input would be helpful. Please email me at dwayne@3dstreetracing.com

Thanks,
Dwayne

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I'd check all your speaker/headunit wiring, you probably have a loose connection somewhere.

Re: 89 Turbo Trans Am radio problem

Unless you hard wired a sirius unit into your acc power or FM antenna (like me), it would have no bearing on audio output from the factory head unit.
