Re: Is this box/subs any good?

The listing makes it sound like it's a single panel that holds the subs. Not a complete box. Even people like me (who dont go to sound competition) prefer the sound of sub within an actual box.

Have people done it? Yes. Have I done it? Yes. (My first subs in my old F-body were set up like that.)

Knowing what I know now... I'd rather make my own and be able to customize it. As far as the subs... http://www.epinions.com/Legacy_Audio...splay_~reviews

I just wonder with having to make a box (not a big deal) and spending $40 on subs, that it might make more sense to spend a little more on better subs. I dunno.

oh **** it probably isnt a whole box then, i knew they were probably crappy cheap subs but the box was what i was more interested in, doesnt look like a good deal anymore. maybe ill see if he will take 20 for it and ill just finish off the box. How much does that mdf stuff cost? where do you get it at?

Looks like a baffle board open air speaker setup. I had a baffle board setup in my old maro, it put out some serious bass with two 12" 400 watt pioneers and a cheap jensen 300 watt amp. It thumped better than alot of other more expensive setups.
