If it works, you got a steal! These were from the late 80's to early 90's. They were good amps 60wx2 or 160w in bridged mode.

I'd say it would be better suited for speakers if you're using today's technology in the sub department. Most of today's subs require lots more power than this amp will produce. When this amp was built,a single 15" could get very loud being driven by a 3525.

Ohh man i just came up with an awesome idea for a project.. an old school stereo system.. I got this kenwood tape deck and 16 band LED EQ and a 6-disc cd changer. Im gonna get a stock amp for hte speakers.. What sub should I run off of it, a single 15" I wanna go old school

Re: Alpine 3525 bridgeable amp?

The sub choice would depend on how much room you're willing to give up for the enclosure. Most "old school" 15's need around 3cuft per driver. You could do 2 10's with relative ease. If you are gonna go old school,I'd suggest something from the Kicker Competition (gold lettered) line or MTX Terminator or Fosgate "Punch". Any of those will do well with the lower power. These are the brands I had the most experience with when I was doing car audio in the mid 80's to the early 90's. There were other good brands of that era but I'm old now and my mind isn't what it used to be. LOL!!

Heres a pic of my old set up before it was robbed, two 10" infinities, custom box, 2 california 400w, and 1 california 800w. Neon lights, flip up box w/ glass underneath and neon. Kenwood tape deck, LED 16 band EQ and 6 disc cd changer.
