When Did Sounddomain Quit Selling Car Audio?

It's been a while since I've made an audio purchase (year and a half or so) and when I finally got around to installing my front speakers (didn't want to take off the dash pad, but now it's cracked, so I said f it.) they don't fit. So I decided to go back to sound domain to see if there was anything else that I liked. And I find they don't sell anything anymore...? When did this happen? Now it seems like it's ebay or crutchfield or bust. Which sucks.

I shop on Crutchfield. Ebay has some deals- but beware of scam artists.

Best Buy will match Crutchfield. I do most my in-store shopping at Best Buy.

BTW- don't rule out Wal-Mart. They have good deals from time to time on Sony units. Sony sells a lot of volume through Wal-Mart.

But that's if you like Sony units. :P They were awesome a few years back. Now they're... well.... Bad. I did buy my last JVC unit at Wal-Mart though. And no website other than JVC's mentions that it exists. :P

Found a shady looking website that's got the unit I want the cheapest. Has two positive reviews on Resellerratings.com, out of three total. Gonna throw it on the CC, just in case.

Ya I noticed a few months ago, that they weren't selling anything anymore.

They most likely just couldn't keep afford to keep items in stock. I remember when they first started up Sounddomain, it was just 2 guys working out of a 1 room office.

I actually applied for a job with them, but after seeing how small they were. I had to decline, because I needed a job with health benefits etc.

Nice guys, hope they aren't having other problems. Not even sure if they still own the company or if they sold it.

http://www.ikesound.com/ I have had good experiences with them. Only problem you can run into is with warrenty stuff due to them not being authorized resellers of some of the stuff, so you send it to them, they get it replaced and send it back to you.
