Good system for my bird.

I have an 86 firebird that needs some speakers and a new head unit. I am looking into a Sony head unit and infinity speakers... But what kind/size speakers do I need? 6x9s and 4x6 ??? I need the ones in the dash pad and the rear sails. (don't want any fancy subs or amps just good quality sound for the zepplin) I listen to mostly rock.

Thank you so much as I am an idiot when it comes to this stuff.

yep 6x9 for back and 4x6 for front and what ever you buy make sure you check the magnet size on the speaker because if its too big it wont fit

Re: Good system for my bird.

Make sure your 4x6 mounting depth does not exceed 1.75 inches. As it is, the 1.75' (atleast on my camaro) doesnt clear the instrument cluster. (drivers side) To make room for the risen speaker due to bottom fitment issues, I have cut out the speaker grouves in the stock dash mat and put a vinal aftermarket reproduction pad with flat speaker vent holes that do not dip to reduce speaker area under the dash mat.
