So a buddy asked me if it’s worth picking up these speakers For his 92z and if they will be a good fit:
Infinity Reference 4 x 6 2-Way Speaker (6422CF) FRNT
Infinity Reference 6" x 9" 2-Way Car Speaker (9622i) REAR
Now I have no clue as to if these are good or bad or if they fit well (maybe
someone can comment)…..Thing that I would like to know is that they are rated 2ohm.
Will they be ok to use with his deck which is Pioneer deh p49001b
he is Planning on putting a 4x25 amp that he has( its 4ohm bridgeable to 2ohm I think will have to take a look)
but for now its just the deck .

Any input would be appreciated.

 

a slightly more powerful amp wouldn't hurt, but those are pretty decent speakers. The 4x6s are like 2-60rms and the 6x9s are liek 2-100. They're like 94.7db sensitivity, so not bad their either. I assume the 4x6s are plate speakers, and if so, they apparently have a depth of 1" 15/16". According to crutchfield they don't fit . But I hear you can modify it with a heat gun and or a dremel to fit deeper.

 

He will love them.. Great upgrade, have to modify a little for 4x6 to fit tho.. Quality known brand = great choice

So the fact that they are 2omh's will not effect the deck if used without a amp for now?
