first time building a box for firebird??

hi and thanks for reading. i just bought my first f-body and im so exited about moding, but i want to start on my system first. i really want 2 15"s, cus iv alwayes owned 12"s before. 12"s are good but i just wanted to try some thing new. i also have done some picture editing, or i should say sketches on paint for box ideas.i plan on boxing in the whole well and would apreciate any feedback as far as the top angle and or shape of the box. also- i didnt want to loose any back window.

i dont remember were i got these pics of the inter net. but i modified them in microsoft paint. do you think pointing them in this direction would make any diff. and would it be worth making the box use all that air space?

Re: first time building a box for firebird??

damn, thats a bigass box! and good job on doing that with only Paint! I think that should be plenty of room if you're trying to do 2 15's. I currently have 2 12's in mine and only have a hatch/well box (used the guide from the sticky). Honestly, Its not going to make much of a difference in sound if the subs are pointing straight up or at the glass, the glass would bounce the sound the the same direction...

Re: first time building a box for firebird??

i do have t tops but if was to take them off they would just go in the bag seat in there bags. i think the box would be about 3-4 cu ft. i could be wrong but thats ok ill find out when i build it. im just not sure how i want the box yet. i have alot of ms paint drawings. that i though was the coolest besides a wall. i would be happy w/ two audiobahn 1000w exscurtion 12"s and some sort of inexpensive amp, about 1600w-2000w and a cap. i know theres alot of mixed reviews about audiobahn but iv owned them in the past amongst other brands like lanzar vibe pro, infinity refrence, kicker comp vr's.
