500w Amp help?

How safe is keeping a small 500w Rampage amp in the trunk glove box? Im worried about it over heating in there, or is it cool?

Yes I know 500w is weak,
but I don't need my nice third gen "vibrating to hell"

any advice?

Assuming it can fit in there, it shoudl be fine. Small amps dont usually heat up much.

Re: 500w Amp help?

If you have a problem of overheating, i would look at installing a simple computer case fan into the side of the pocket

You can either wire in a switch for it, or my recommendation is to get a 12v relay, and wire that in and use the remote for the amp to turn it on.

This would require you to cut some holes in the trim piece, but for the sake of saving an amp it would be worth it.
