mounting amp in backseat
i was wondering if any of you guys had pics of the process of cutting the plastic and mounting your amp in the backseat it would help me out alot thanks
Re: mounting amp in backseat
i'm trying to remember exactly how i did mine...........
sorry it was a few years ago but i ended up cutting out the whole rear of the seat about 95% of it LOL trial and error
anyway in the end i took a 3/4 piece of mdf and bolted it right to the metal sides /supports and gutted out the whole middle section
i left about 3" on the top and maybe 2" on the bottom
in the end i think i have a total of over 3 1/2" of total depth clearance before I put the plexi cover over everything

there is some pics, but you basically just build a box for the amp, take the cover off the seats, cut a hole in the plastic, cut away the foam aorund the amp box, attatch amp box to plastic, replace foam(without the piece you cut out) cut the piece of foam in half or a little more, place that piece of foam on the amp box, and put the cover back on the seat(with a hole for the amp)
i saved all the pics from a tutorial, but cant find it now, so here is the link to my photobucket with all the pics...credit goes to the creator of the tutorial
