I have found out that jeep offers a 1.5 Din unit with NAV/DVD/SAT called the RB1. Just wondering if anyone has tried this unit in a third gen or other 1.5 Application. Here is some links to the specs on the radio

For $1700 it seems a little steep to me.

 

I tried using an RBQ (6-Disk changer unit) in the Firebird and it didnt fit. The unit is longer. Its the same size as the RB1 which I have in the van.

 

Yes, 1700 is a bit high. But if it fit I was going to try and track one down used. However, based on what Firebird90 is stating with his experiene on RB radios is that the units are to long to fit. Some much for that project.

Sorry I'm using the RB4. The Nav unit can be picked up for $400.
I'm sure if you can make it fit it will look good. You can also add a DVD 6 disk changer or 10 disk cd changer. No MP3 for these units
