advice on sub selection needed
Audioheads, been messing around with car audio for a while now, I got started messing with it in 1993, but I never really planned the set up in my Camaro, it just sorta got tossed together as I went. I am wanting to put some bass in my tunes, current set up is Kenwood KDCMP642U head unit, 4"x6" Eclipse fronts, Pioneer 4 way 6"x9"'s in the sails and a single Soundstorm 4 ch 1000watt max amp in the hatch, driving a 12" Thump brand sub in a truck box, as well as the 6x9's. I know the sub is crap and the amp isn't much better, so I went and bought a set of Kenwood 10's. Now before installing them, my question is, would I do better running a single Kicker Solo-baric 12" and returning the 10's, or would the 10's give tighter, cleaner bass. I jam to metal and hard rock, with some country and techno mixed in so I prefer crisp clean sound, but I do like a good hard hitting bass as well. I will also be upgrading the Soundstorm to either a Kenwood or Alpine unit later down the road.

Re: advice on sub selection needed
i would go with the 2 tens. i just recently put 2 ten inch MTX subs in my hatch and not only do they hit hard but they also hit very tight and clean. just remember sound quality is not just the subs but also the enclosure and amp you use.
