Re: What kinda music are you listening to?
My tastes are quite mixed. My XM stays on "The Highway" or "Prime Country" most of the time, however my MP3 collection goes from A to Z with pretty much every kind of music.
It really depends on the mood. Never really been much into electronic music, but for some reason LMFAO has been on my playlist regularly lately.

The Showdown - Temptation Comes My Way.

BTW, what type of music would you call that? Metal?
I am an old classic rock fan but that song rocks and I'm somewhat swinging over into that genre - whatever it is. Who says 50 yr olds can't have fun? I was crankin that last night going into O'Reilly's to get chrome valve stems and the guys there kinda looked at me funny when they saw all the gray hair and I was walking all stooped over (just got thru cutting a tree down and was hurting). They came out and watched me drive off...
I put a bazooka in the old bird just to listen to that.

kavinsky - nightcall
avenged sevenfold - unholy confessions
fear factory - linchpin
incubus - drive
mudvayne - king of pain
she wants revenge - out of control
the smashing pumpkins - the beginning is the end is the beginning
i listen to a lot of different stuff, as you can plainly see. really depends on the mood and the type of driving i'm doing.

Re: What kinda music are you listening to?
Any rappers in particular? I'm a big late 90's westcoast style kind of guy. Main rappers for me are 2Pac, Dr. Dre, Snoop, Daz Dillanger, E-40, Rappin 4-Tay, Tha Outlaw Immortalz, and C-Bo. I do like certain Biggie songs such as Juicy, Hypnotize, Mo Money Mo Problems, 112 feat. B.I.G. in "Only You". Don't get me wrong though. I do like STYX, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Rage Agianst the Machine, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Bruce Springsting.

Trans Glam, I listen and love every band you listed.. But sometimes my baby likes to listen to some rap, and since I have a sub, I don't mind to much to make her happy.

Don't be surprised Trans Glam. Not everyone in the states listen to the same type of music that you like. I'm For any type of music but country. Rick, metal, alternative, slow, and r & b get played at moderate volume in my 86 IROC. But when I hear 2Pac, Snoop, Tha Outlaw Immortals, Warren G, Dr. Dre, or any other Deathrow Records artist, well let's just say I set off car alarms with my MA Audio 12 subs. Lol

Re: What kinda music are you listening to?
i had a nice sound system in there but my car is too loud and the bass of the exhaust was droning out the bass of what music i played... soooo all i hear is the exhaust note and the cam at idle now and it never gets old.. its a different feeling like your in a track car with nothing but the vibrations of the motor and sounds of the exhaust... its my toy car and i only drive it about once a week or so... its a pretty much "track ready " muscled out GTA... just look at my sig.... besides i have a daily driver truck with a nice system...

Re: What kinda music are you listening to?
Agreed! I have a V6 and it's still rather loud and aggressive, though raspy because the exhaust system looks like a metal eating beaver got after it. Gotta be sorted before this November, hopefully I'll get a flowmaster dual outlet put on it
I'm listening too:
Fear Factory - Recharger
I wish I had a working stereo in my third gen, the Boss Audio POS that's in there now is possessed, it randomly turns on, will not play CD's, sounds like crap, has terrible reception. It's apt to randomly turn its self on blaring some random station, anything from 94.9 "Star Country", to 99.1, "Q99, the best of the 80's, 90's, and today!", and occasionally 96.3, "WROV, The Rock of Virginia".
I can't even take it out! The previous owners hardwired it into the car, there's no plug anymore, I've gotta find a third gen to salvage one from. I'm gonna shoot the stereo once it's out of the car, it's almost landed me in the ditch a few too many times.
Just be drivin' along, and all the sudden the stereo comes on blaring something god awful like "-ALL MY EXES LIVE IN TEXAS-", I'd come flying out of the seat if I wasn't wearing my seat belt. Damn stereo set to "MAX" volume, it doesn't have a ****, buttons, only buttons, volume button sometimes changes the station, tuner buttons sometimes turn it off or set to a random preset, power button mostly works as mute until I get angry and start beating it until it turns off.
Worst of all, I can't get it to turn off most of the time, I have to mash the power button repeatedly (Or just start beating the crap out of it until the faceplate disconnects from the unit, it looses power, and resets) and make sure it isn't on "MUTE", or it'll just unmute and try yet again, to kill me, that stereo is demonically possessed. I don't know how many of you saw the movie Christine, but I think that stereo is part of that damn '58 Fury.
Even worse still, the face plate is non removable, it's the power flip down kind, I'm tempted to rip it off though my father might be a little annoyed, seeing as it is still his car for the time being.

I really hate country. I'll listen to most anything - rap, rock, pop, electric, R&B, just not country or anything similar. Metal is tolerable, it's just a little too...obnoxious, for lack of a better term.
Re: What kinda music are you listening to?
Already said it, can't, one that's in there is hardwired in and I'm not hard wiring another one in, gonna solder in a factory plug, shrink wrap the wires, get an adapter, then put in an aftermarket Kenwood with some good Kicker KS series 4x6's upfront, and 6x9's in the back.
Don't know what if anything is tied to the fuse with the stereo, find out another time, not by digging frantically online. I found out the hard way the cig lighter fuse is tied to the dome light and power pull down hatch, as well as the well light. Pull down motor is bad 'cause the idiot previous owners kept slamming the tailgate onto it without checking to see what could be blowing the fuse.
Anyway, listening too
Alestorm - Shipwrecked
G'night folks, I have a station wagon to wrestle in the morning, the tailgate will not open, so I'm gonna try and figure out why before it gets hot. My '86 Custom Cruiser is rebelling against sitting for so long. I hope the rear window will go down with the key so I can just crawl in that way, I don't feel like going over the toolbox and the tires on my way to the tailgate. 'Tis a long and perilous journey to the back of a station wagon which has a hold full of cargo!
Anyhow, maybe if I put some gas in the old girl, wash her, and take her to the movies she'll forgive me for parking her for so long.

Raining like mad here, a little Janes Addition and Alice in Chains to get these guys woken up, as you would say just turn it up enough to make the ears bleed

Re: What kinda music are you listening to?
Depends, really. Very diverse range from Depeche Mode, Fleetwood Mac, NIN, Misfits, Scorpions, Michael Jackson to Sade, Earth, Wind, Fire, Stone Temple Pilots, to Type O Negative to Iced Earth, Oingo Boingo, any 80s, or Mozart. At the moment though I'm really into Skinny Puppy. I'm weird that way though.

Metal time
Fear Factory - Disassemble
Off of a album they just released on the 5th of June, The Industrialist.
Nothing like metal to drown out the country and pop music that's usually blaring out of the cars around here. Typically both from different cars, it's quite unbearable.
Getting attacked by someone whining about they're ex's from the left, and blasted with bubbly pop music from the right is a place I often find myself in traffic. Seeing as neither of our cars have AC, my windows are down, making it all the more insufferable.

Re: What kinda music are you listening to?
Just about anything Pre-2002. Just can't get into anything new lately, with the exception of Zak Brown Band and Aaron Lewis' new country-ish album.
My playlist usually jumps from Dr. Dre to Steppenwolf to AC/DC. Or anything in between. But I have to admit I feel like a douche if I'm blaring Tupac at a stoplight. That is no longer socially acceptable for a 26 year old, white male in a 24 year old car.

Re: What kinda music are you listening to?
I personally like things from Wiz Khalifa, Dr. Dre, Chamillionaire, to Disturbed, Linkin Park and Dave Matthews. Rock and hip hop are my favorites, but I like anything.
And I know what you mean Gordiggz. I'd feel like a douche with any rock or hip hop music in my car. Sports cars and young males have just been too stereotyped to make people think of us as anything other than the bully jock at the local high school. Won't help that I have Billy Idol's hair, that also trends with the 80's look lol!
