Bose Amp?
I was fixing some stuff in my 87 IROC when we were removing the trim that runs along the door when that one piece in the corner popped off (it is next to the kick panels when you have the door shut). But anyway it fell off and when it did it was connected to the car by some wires and on the back it said bose. Which is making me think if it is part of some sort of holy s**t package that the car recieved. The car doesnt have the ERS sound system badge or anything like that so is it a special add on. I have looked on other sites and stuff and they dont say anything about it.

Re: Bose Amp?
A picture would be awesome. You could get a factory bose amp and sound system. If you've got that then you'll also have kick-panel speakers and speakers in hatch area I believe.

Re: Bose Amp?
That's the wierd thing though I dont have speakers in the hatch area or in the kick panels. Which raises the question could it be part of a factory mix up where someone put in the amp but never the rest of the speakers making the car one of a kind?

Re: Bose Amp?
thats the Bose system kick panels. Its like a plastic pod covered in carpet with 4" cheap A$$ paper speakers and amp inside. I have the same thing in my 87. I put Polk 4" speakers in mine.... surface mounted. Worked and looked pretty good.

Re: Bose Amp?
I guess I will have to check if they actually work because I think the amp works because right now my sound system is really loud when it is only turned up haalf way but unsure about the speaker itself.

Re: Bose Amp?
I read somewhere on here that if you hook a non Bose radio up to exsisting Bose speakers/amp its bad news... getting power from the built in amp in the deck and the Bose amp on the speaker. May explain why is way loud half way up.....
Might do a search but im sure i read that somewhere on these forums..
