Head unit. Help needed
So, I just picked up a new head unit from best buy. It's a Pioneer head unit. I was told by several friends and people at the store that since I have an aftermarket radio that is already installed in my car that I would be able to just hook up the new radio with no problemos. They said that I would have to exchange the thing that holds the radio in place between the radios but otherwise its supposed to just plug and play. Any truth to this?

Check that, the thing that holds the radio is called the radio bracket.

That's cool.
Cant wait to install it and jam out to the songs on my MP3! Also, is there any way to keep the 6x9's in the back from vibrating when I turn up the volume all the way? I made sure screws were tight but is there anything I can put behind it that wont catch on fire or destroy sound quality?

If you are getting a bad vibration, your too loud for those speakers, or else they are blown. If the speakers are tightened down to the car, the only thing left to vibrate is the speaker cone itself.

I just got a cool gadget today - a FM transmitter that takes USB, SD, and micro SD cards. I also got a 2GB USB memory stick. The transmitter plugs into cig lighter, and reads the MP3's off the mem stick and transmits on any FM freq I choose to the car stereo. I was skeptical - saw them at Radio Shack for $65. So I went to my fav place, ebay - got one there for $10 shipped! And the little no-brand thing works GREAT! Even has a remote with full controls, built-in equalizer, and has a 1.8 screen that you can see videos and pics on.
In the past I burned CD's with my laptop to have tunes - got alot of CD's in the car - now I can load everything onto small mem sticks and ditch the CD's!

The other thing is that the speaker itself isnt vibrating it's the speaker hitting the metal on the car when it is turned up just past halfway. What can I do about that?
