could i use a 1000w amp on this sub..

Transmission: 700r4 in both.
Axle/Gears: Iroc 3.27 Firebird 3.23
could i use a 1000w amp on this sub..

hey all, i was wondering if i could use a sony 1k watt amp on an 8in kicker cvr, rated at 200 peak and 100rms. trying not to buy another amp at the moment. or is i turn the amp down?

Its a sony amp, it's not putting out a true 1k watts, more like a 320 watts, so you will be fine, just watch the gain settings, and keep bass boost off.
