Cheap but good?

I just got my 91 and I want to update the deck and put some subs in. Im extremely strapped on cash but what would be the cheapest but best way to upgrade the sound system? Any suggestions welcome

Re: Cheap but good?

Id just get a cheap JVC or Kenwood headunit. For subs, I built my own custom box to fit in the rear. Probably the cheapest and best sounding route IMO would be some Rockford Fosgate subs. YOu can also get a cheap amp at a electronics store or at a pawn shop for really cheap. Or do some craigslist shopping. You could get a whole set up for the price youd pay just for an amp

Thanks man! I've been looking at them and they look like a pretty great deal. Good reviews everywhere I've looked and a decent price. I'm thinking putting this:http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/produ...72406979c4en02
in for my deck. It's cheap and has everything I need. Always room to upgrade later if I want a better one.
