Re: swapping out antennas

Not hard, took me about an hour to do mine. Pull off the right front wheel and remove the wheelwell liner. If you have a tool for the pop-in fasteners it goes faster. Take the lower passengers panel and the front panel off the dash and pull out the radio. Unplug the antenna lead and pull it back to the inside of the fender wall. Disconnect the antenna relay (under the front right dash panel). Use a screwdriver to work out the rubber weather plug. One 10 mm bolt holds the antenna mounting bracket on, remove it and take off the trim nut on top of the antenna tube. Now you can remove the antenna assembly, feeding the cables out through the hole in the fender wall. Put the fixed one back in opposite order. I disconnected the other side of the antenna relay too, so it could not be energized. Ez-Pz
