Hey y'all, I have been reading up on doing the 6.5 door speakers.... Was wondering if someone has done a how-to on installing these.

I am looking for info on how to actually mount these in the door opening as well as a good way to measure and cut the door panel.

I already researched and found that my bostons will fit my doors as i have manual windows.

Car is an 85 Camaro....

 

I can't say the best location to cut, as I have never done the mod on these cars, but if you have the cash, I would go with the aftermarket Q-logic kick panel sets, you can get them for $150-$180/set, it allows you to install 6.5s and a tweeter in the kick panels. No cutting required

Ive seen the kicks and actually did a dry fit of one in the past and I did not care for them at all...

 

I have a BRAND NEW set of these kicks. Uncut just as the factory would send them. Looking for 125 shipped for them

im just wondering, but what difference does it make to have the door speakers? all i use is the sail speakers and subs and it sounds amazing...

 

Kicks take up space that I am not willing to part with.... I already got them installed... thanks anyways...
