Re: New Box, New Problem

if a shop made the box for you, i'd take it back and explain the issue. not sure why you'd be having that problem, but they may have to trim the box a bit for better clearance.

I have a similar issue with the one I had built, but I can live with it. To remove the box, the pull-down motor has to be removed, otherwise everything works great. I look at it as theft deterrent

So the box was custom made for A Camaro, not yours. Your gonna have to cut out a piece so that it cant lean up Agianst the "hump". Mine leans on the hump so much that most of the weight is Agianst the hump. But I have no issues with my pull down motor.

Re: New Box, New Problem

Sorry but Im a firm believer of modding the part before modding the car to make something work.Especially if the factory part works just fine without the box in there..why mess around with it? Tailor the box to work in your car..not the other way around. What will you do if you relocate the pull down motor and make matters worse of it either trying to pull the hatch in too tight or its up too high and doesn't seal?..keep modding the hatch..I dont think so.

Mark where the box is making contact..trim it down and recheck clearances untill all is well. Its only a $30 box right.
