93-02 front door speakers pods panel on 82-92 door panels??
As the title said, I am curious to know if anybody already managed to install the 93-02 F-Body front door panels speakers pods (the lowest panel only) to our 3rd Gen original door panels. I know for a fact that many owners has already installed the complete door panels, but I would like to keep my OE panels. I already have some Q-Logic kick panels, I like them but on the driver side I find it annoying and it's kind of misplaced!
If you ever done this modification could you please provide some picture and "how to install infos"?
All thanks for your time!

Ive been into the door panels on both 3rd & 4th gens, and the 4th has huge, purposeful holes cut into the doors for speakers to fit into. If my memory is any good, I think the 3rd has the window motor located down low near the front.

Oh I see! So with the window motor in place, there is no way thate this modification could be made...I went to a local audio shop last summer before I bought my Q-Logic panels, and the guy said to me that he could install a mid-sub in my doors. Again, I know that some owners here already did this often, but I just don't want the interior to look whitetrash. And as I am not really good with my hand, especially with fiberglass (0 experience), I would have this guy fabricate some nice fiberglass door pods. But it would be very expensive, someting like 300$+up!! So I tought of the 4th gen panels.
but thanks for sharing your experience with both generation's panels!!
Anyone else tryed this before or something similar as the 4th gen speakers panels?

This is how I did my door. They are customs panels made from all MDF that will fit 6.5" mids. I also cut some of the door metal to gain extra depth. They do NOT touch my pwr window motor and fit a speaker up to 2.75" deep.
