Somebody PLEASE help me, I need to know if I can mount an amp (with screws) to the higher floor area in the rear hatch right behind the back seats.

Yes. Tho the best way i found was to either use just enough screw to dig into the metal or lift the carpet, trim the pad and put a piece of thin wood panel under it where the removed pad was. First measure your amps feet then drill and tap the wood with small fine thread bolts facing up then put it under the carpet and push them through the carpet then secure the amp down with nuts. can also use some glue under the wood to solve potential vibration of wood to metal. Be aware, theres .75 to 1" of space between the tank and floor. Hope this helps.

Yes, not hard at all. Just don't punch through the metal and you'll be fine.

I put an amp in my 84, used industrial Velcro (the rough side) then placed it on top of the hump. Worked like a champ, amp never moved, and it didnt mess up the carpet.
