Re: Finally started building the sub box

looking for sub's now the box has 2.075 of airspace. the sub i had (was going to run a single 10 for some reason the alpine r something 10 is rated for 1/2 ft of space so it wouldn't work. a buddy came over last night we put the alpine in his truck box and i now have a cheap kicker but still need another. and if i have to by one might as well buy a pair that match. I plan on a amp on either side of the bottle and then the 2 10's in the normal spot and then the metal sign with colored leds under it to light up the sign. the car is orange with black stripes rule of thumb is 3 colors. so what would be the next color. I was thinking silver. add another small stripe to the car in silver and tehn make the plate silver with orange led's but haven't gotton that far into it yet. the subs i would like to be a metal cone.

Re: Finally started building the sub box

honestly is't more for looks than anything Im not big into Boomin sound systems. my single 10 was more than enough but for the car shows i wanted something more wow factor so thats why i built the box planed for one 10 in the box but found out it didn't .wouldn't work. the buget for this project didn't have subs in it or an new amp. so far a buddy has a discount on kickers so he has gotton me a price for kicker crv's ? something like that and for the 2 it's $160.00 he's working on a amp price now
I will also need to replace the indash also. but that will probably be a cheap pioneer. since thats what i have in my z and i like it. but it doesn't have the rca sub out channel so who knows yet. how this came about was i was at home deot buying cut off wheels to finish up on the cake pan air cleaner to cowl setup and bought the wood and screws to put this together so it was a spure of the moment thing

Re: Finally started building the sub box

Last night I installed a pioneer indash DEH-150mp cheap radio but it is there just to fill the hole since you really can't hear it over the 3 inch exhaust. I also ordered 2 new Pioneer TS-W259D4 sub's
1200 watts Peak / 350 watts RMS, Impedance: 4 ohm, Dual Voice Coil, IMPP Composite Seamless Cone, Extended and Vented pole yoke, Double-stacked, high power magnets, Polymer Surround.
and Pioneer t-5500 amp
The 2-channel GM-5500T delivers a whopping 820 watts max - plenty of juice to power your speakers. It's also got a built-in variable low-pass crossover, speaker level inputs for easy connection to an OEM receiver, and oversized power terminals.
can't wait until it all comes in to install in the box.
