92 head unit removal question

I did a search and did not come up with what I was looking for. I have a sweet system in my 92 RS that was in it when I got the car, but my head unit is broken so I have never got to hear it. Well I buddy of mine gave me an older working Alpine HU so I want to put it in this weekend. I have installed many systems and HU's more than I can remember. So the question is do I have to drop the panel unde the drivers side if the dash to get to the top left screw on the HU trim plate? I see the other 3 screws, but the top left is hiden. I just don't want to break anything as my dash is perfect.

Im pretty sure the top left is a dummy screw, just loosen it and remove the bottom left, top right and bottom right then try to push the plate to the right, it should slide out of the way, and so you dont crack it: remove the shifter trim plate. once the bezel is out of the way the radio should be held in with 2-4 7mm screws

in the end if you think you need to pull the drivers hush panel i would just do it, i only did like 3 90's thirdgens when i was installing professionally, and i was doing full on systems so i just pulled the front panels anyway to facilitate wiring i know the 80's thirdgens dont require it but GM always liked to change the little things to keep us on our toes

and just out of curiosity is this a factory head unit? orrrr is this already aftermarket? if its aftermarket you can just slide a set of keys in and slide the radio out, if its factory follow the instructions above.
