Re: 2012 camaro steering wheel controls

My guess would be you are gonna have to make your own adapter/harness. The newer camaro wheel would have connected to the factory harness in the car, and somewhere in the maze and miles of wires that are in newer car it would have eventually made it to the stereo. I am not sure how the Sony head unit is set up but if it were me I would just just make myself some temporary jumper wires from the Sony unit to the steering wheel controls and see what happens.

Re: 2012 camaro steering wheel controls

so did you put a newer style steering wheel in a older camaro? did you need to make any modifications or did it just fit like to origional? if it is you may want to try taking apart the sony remote and rewiring to contacts on the new steering wheel with the IR on the back side closest to the radio to send signal. I dont know how hard it would be to retrofit the steering cams from the new wheel to the older car. i would like to see some pics cause iv been thinking of this process for a while now in my 89 iroc

Would love to see pictures of the 2013 steering wheel. I think it's cool how you made that work.
