Two wire aftermarket antenna to three wire oem relay

I just bought a power antenna with a red wire, a blue wire, and a ground wire. Problem is I have the original relay wiring with white, green, and grey wires.

Do you just connect the red to white, the blue to the grey, and leave the green wire alone?

Re: Two wire aftermarket antenna to three wire oem relay

The OE relay switches the polarity of the circuit so the antenna will either run up or down. Aftermarket antennas typically handle this switching internally. The aftermarket antenna will need 12V on the red, ground on the black and will use the blue as a trigger, meaning when 12V is applied to the blue, the antenna will go up. When the blue wire goes dead, the antenna goes down. There will be a trigger wire on your radio that hooks up to the blue.

The question I have for you is, what brand is the antenna? I have had a hard time finding an aftermarket antenna that fits in the small hole in the fender on a third gen. Please let me know.

Thanks!
