While listening to the radio the speakers all at once cut out. The sub continued to play. It's on a separate amp. So I figured the amp in the deck had failed. When I installed the new deck I had the same problem: the deck has power, but the there's nothing to the speakers. I don't think my car has a factory amp, but maybe it does. If so can anyone tell me where it may be, or give another solution.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Stock Delco radio?
Check for a blown speaker (or speaker wire) that is shorting to ground. Just one will disable all the speakers, it's a protection circuit that many new head units have.

And wouldn't it have to be one of the ones under the dash,... After pullining the speaker wires one speaker at a time I found that the 4x6 on the passenger side was the one shorting it out.
So now I have a neww head unit, and soon I'll have new front speakers too!
ive never seen a speaker fail like that. Thanks for the help!!
