1990 Firebird Delco CD Player Questions
1990 Firebird Delco CD Player Questions
Does anyone have any experience with the factory Delco CD players available in the 89-92 Firebirds? How well do they work? Do they skip? How is the sound quality? I am considering one for my 1990 Formula and I'd rather have a factory item than aftermarket. I know the Camaro CD player is a little different, but the Grand Prix and Bonneville CD players look similar. Any ideas on where I might purchase one? Thanks all. Rocky
When I was thinking the same thing, I talked to a friend at a GM dealer. He told me that those things weren't worth jack! On top of being hard to find and fix, they skipped lots, and broke down more often. Spend your hard earned money on a 1 1/2 DIN deck. They fill the hole perfect and look really cool!!!!
Hope I could help!

None of the Delco decks are all that great. The new ones are alot better quaility then they used to be. If you want a really good deck, get aftermarket. If you like the look of factory, then get the Delco. For most people, the Delcos are fine. Just get yourself a good set of speakers.
