Antenna route and grounding for signal
I have marine FM antenna I bought form local audio shop. it seems thin and flimsy. I plugged it into my pioneer HU and ran it up under the dash and up the passenger a pillar.
That gives ok reception. Anywhere else it is horrible or way too much RF noise. Anyone have luck with strong route? Can I just ground to something? Can I run AWG wire instead?
The stock antenna is still installed to the electric passenger motor but I was planning on removing. Can I just remove the motor and block off antenna hole in fender and leave stock wire in firewall with decent results?
Maybe just use the stock F plug form the OEM wire, cut it off and run AWG somewhere.

anywhere inside the car is not going to work that well, unless you are real close to the stations transmitter
