Ballpark figure of how many DB's I will hit, anyone?
My new stuff is on its way, I got a qlogic box for my firebird (holds 2 12"s) and a pair of Infinity Kappa Perfects.. The amp I'll be using to run them is a Rockford fosgate 500a2 or 800a2 (havent decided if I want to redo my entire charging system for the 800, maybe at a later date)... Anyone Know how many DB'S I'll be hitting with 2 12" Perfects in the back??
I hope to be doing alot better than my 1 12" Rockford punch DVC with a 350 watt amp...
Also, how much can my car take without the windows blowing out? I definatly don't want to be cranking it up and have the windows blow clear off the car...

I would guess high 130s to low 140s with that setup. As for windows blowing out, that won't happen. Not unless you replace all of the rubber seals in the vehicle with polyurethane seals and put 20 more subs and 10 more amps in.

I currently run 2 RF DVC 10's in a sealed box. Running them is a RF 800a2. The amp has way more than enough power, but I am adding 2 more 10's this winter.
If you are only planning on having the 2 12's
the 500a2 will be enough power for most.
As for your charging system... I have upgraded my battery to a Optima Yellow top and also have a RF 1 farad cap and have absolutely no problems.
As for SPL predictions all I can tell you is I hit 141.3 db using the above equipment and a Rockford SPL CD.
At various db Drag races this year I have been consistantly between 140 and 141 so i would have to say you would hit about 140 to 146 depending on your amp and box .
Remember aim low and your happier when you do better...
