UQ7 Questions
I recently bought a 1986 Trans Am, and it came fully loaded from the factory with all the little goodies including the UQ7 speaker package. The problem is its missing its original subs. The previous owner gave me the the original front and side speakers along with the UT4 Radio, but said that when he bought the car the subs were already gone.
1.Due to the age of the car I have my doubts that I will be able to find OEM replacements so what would be a good alternative to the factory subs that have the same specs as the factory ones?
2.I am having this problem were the radio will change its station back and forth. How do i fix this?
3.Also where do I find the amp at?
p.s if anyone has OEM replacements for sale call me at 331-205-9916
Thanks for reading

Re: UQ7 Questions
The amp is right behind the "glove box" pouch. You don't want to bother with the stock sub boxes, the speakers were really small. You could do better with some other type of aftermarket speakers, you can't see them anyway.
I have a left box only that I would be willing to sell, but the chances of finding a right only would be slim.

Re: UQ7 Questions
stock speakers were really poor quality, as mentioned there is no reason to bother with them. if they had decent aftermarket woofers it may have been but no body makes those that i have seen. i put aftermarket 6x9s in, they sound better and last longer

Re: UQ7 Questions
You can find very small subwoofers in computer 2.1 sound systems and other home speakers. Just make sure they're 4 ohms. You can get these for nearly nothing.
I don't know how good or not they are though. But I suppose if they come from branded equipement, they should be allright.
I haven't found many aftermarket subs that would fit the original box at a decent price.
