Hi everyone:

I just bought an '88 GTA. The old owner had installed a different stereo which he removed. He stuck the stock unit back in but it won't power-up. He also installed a Grant steering wheel but I'm getting the stock wheel from him this weekend. I read something about using the "mute" button to re-enable the stock radio, which I'd like to try. Can anyone offer any advice?

stock radio will not come on until mute botton is hit on steering wheel pad.
