Hooking Up Front Polk DB461's

Hi guys, I need a pigtail that will connect to the factory dash speaker harness on a 1988 T/A. The one they sent me with the speakers is for a different connector. Does anyone know where to get the correct ones? If I have to hook them up without the connectors, which wires would connect to the + and - terminals on the Polk speakers? I have a dark green wire and a tan wire on the pass. side and a light red wire and a tan wire on the drivers side. I can't go by the factory speakers because they are marked A and B instead of + -. If I were to guess I'd say the tan wires (if they are tan) would be from a common ground and would hook up to the - terminals. Thanks for any info., Ron.

I would say you are right. You can confirm by using a C or D size battery. If you have it correct, the cone of the speaker will move outward toward you. If you have polarity backwards, it will retract towards the magnet of the speaker. This is a handy little trick to have in your bag.

Crutchfield.com is a good place for finding adapters.
