Sound deadening
Sound deadening
Hey guys so I started putting sound deadening sheets in the trunk of my iroc-z and I'm realizing now I'll need at least a couple more sheets. My question is is how much of the trunk should I cover so I have no rattles and for thr best sound quality, should I go all the way to the back of the back seats? Also what is a good expanding foam to get in those gaps and awkward angles? I will be pushing a soundqubed hdc315 with their 2300 amp and I'm trying to make this as clean sounding as possible. Thank you

Re: Sound deadening
Its not just going to be the trunk area that's going to rattle, I had that same sub in my Impala and it shook everything. Plan on doing the whole car with sound deadener, using rubber o-rings for fasteners, and maybe some felt to go under the plastics in the rear. When I had 3 10s in the well it used to vibrate my hatch glass, I never did solve it but you'll be rattle-hunting for a while. Are you worried about the rattle inside or outside?
On another note, got any box dimensions? I've been thinking about putting my 15 in the Iroc.
