JL 15" Competition w/ 800 rock fos amp

My brother got two 15" JL Audio Competition speakers and a 800 watt Rockford Fosgate amp. We've never hooked up subwoofers through an amp, so if anybody could help, it would be really appreciated. The deck is a Kenwood KRC-807 tapedeck with fliparound face plate.
