speaker upgrade. are these compatible
I was looking into upgrading the speakers in my car which still retains the factory delco radio. Would these speakers work without any other ad ons? Does anyone have any experience with these as well? If not, what would you recommend?

I would get 3-way 6x9 speakersThe ones in the link look like 2-way.
The speakers in the second link will need adapting to mount.Dash speakers are 4x6.
Brand is a matter of preference.

The original 6x9's in your car were a single cone woofer...... I would ONLY use a similar speaker in the rear sail panels.
The front speakers ( no matter what you use ) will be pushing mid-range and tweeter sound off the windshield and right at your face. IMO 2 or 3 way 6x9" rear speakers introduce to WAY much mid-range/tweeter sound from the back.
I've used countless variations of aftermarket 6x9's in the back of many different Thirdgens over the years. In most cases I used aftermarket 2-3 way speakers simply to get some use out of them; in almost all cases I would not have used the 2 or 3 ways if I had factory style cone woofer 6x9's available.
Leave it as it was designed for the best sound, ( IMO! ) Tweeters in front and woofers in back.
