Bose wiring

I just bought a Bose radio from a 95 Camaro but my wiring was all messed up in my 88 Iroc. Can anyone tell me exactly which wire goes where on that radio? I also have a sub from another 95 Camaro with Bose and need to hook that up too.
Thanks!

Does your car have an existing Bose system? If not, you'll need to add separate amplifiers to use that radio. Regardless, if you get a junkyard plug to go into the back of the new radio, the colors should be the same. Also, you'll need an antenna adapter.

I want to use it with Aftermarket amps, the car did not come with a bose.
I need to know what each wire does... eg which is power, which is for speakers, etc. The harness I have, however, looks like it has 2 sets of green wires.

Two sets of green wires...that's odd. Are you saying those wires are in your car or on the radio? The harness for your new radio...did it come from a junkyard/dealer or from a car stereo shop? The junkyard or dealer one should have the same colors as your car, but if you buy a brand new one at a car stereo shop, it will have the standard EIA color scheme.

Different people might have different opinions on how to wire this up, but I would get yourself two 16-18 foot long RCA cables. Snip off the plugs on ONE end of each cable. Strip the insulation off, and solder the leads to the output wires coming from the radio. Plug the other end into your amp(s) and all should work.

I'm just not quite sure what kind of voltage the Bose radio puts out...you might have to turn the gain on your amps way up (or way down). If you find yourself needing to turn the gain way up, you might get some background noise, and it might be difficult to resolve. If you need to turn the gains way down, and they won't go down far enough for you, you could buy a line-level converter to wire behind the radio. (But then you would need to solder your RCA cords back together or buy new ones.)

Most Delco radios have the wiring codes stamped into the metal housing, so look closely at yours and see if you can find it. And let me know a few of the wire colors coming from the back of the radio.
