altenator help, QUICK!!!! min amperage?!?!?!

altenator help, QUICK!!!! min amperage?!?!?!

i need to know what the minimum amperage i need to run my system and car without problems. i had a aftermarket amp on cuz my oem one died...is the 105 oem one strong enough or do i need a bigger one... i have 2 15" kickers, 500 watt amp and am getting a second one soon. please help me guys. thanks

That wattage in RMS or is it peak? I would shoot for a 140 amp alt.

Getting a 140 amp alternator only helps. You have to figure out how much power you need to SUSTAIN...not just have ready for peaks. That is where capacitors come into play. If you are gonna push that much juice then I suggest you consider installing a cap in your system.
