Anyone upgraded to a HO alternator by just using the factory brackets?...I've heard that you have to get some custom work done to install it. Any suggestions or experiences with HO alternators?

 

on my 84 camaro, i had bought a higher output alternator (100-140 amps) that was exact fit. unfortunately, with my 89 having a serpentine setup, i cant use it. but you can find HO alternators that bolt right in place. Summit i believe has a couple. if any is looking for a non-serpentine HO alternator, i still got one...
