I just picked this up at work today. I'm installing it tomorrow. The old alpine in my car stopped spinning cds. I figure I'll keep this in the SC until I can fix the old alpine and put it back. Then this one will go into the GTA. I don't want to leave this in the SC after the snow melts. I'm in a rough neighborhood right now, but crime falls to zero when there's snow. Anyway, this thing rules

i always wondered who makes alpine? are they their own brand? or is it a subsidy like ponitiac is to GM?

Axle/Gears: it's part of the transmission
I think alpine is an independent company.

Alpine is Alpine, just like Sony is Sony.
