what do i do now?

ok here goes, i have an 86 TA, the pervious owner had a full system in the car (i had to remove a lot of wires and rewire most of it). here's the deal, the holes in the sail pan are WAY too big for 6x9's . i had to turn the 6x9's almost side ways and screw them in with only 2 screws so they didnt fall in the holes. am i missing pieces or something? what can i do to correct this ? or should i just consider putting 10's and an amp in (looks almost like it was cut for 10's) any suggestions? it was a pro install from the looks of the old wires and the fact that the holes in the sail pan were cut and flanged (almost looks factory). thanks

I'm not sure if 10's would fit but some people here have installed 8's in their sails. Is it a round hole? If you wanna put 6x9's in there make yourself a plate like this. There was a plate in there from the factory but I guess someone removed it. If you can fit 8's or 10's in there I would go ahead and install those besides 6x9's.

Ooops I forgot the pic. I think this is Justin's car
