Speaker Suggestions??

I was thinking of upgrading the stock speakers in my 91 RS, and was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on speakers. In the future I plan on adding a sub or 2. Is there any place that has custom made boxes for 3rd Gens?? I've looked but haven't found any.........

Thanks,
CptMidway

There are many places that will build you a custom box, any speciality shop. Many of us have built our own and foud it signifigantly cheaper, however. My box with the flushmounting was quoted at $400-$500. It cost under $50 and 9hrs construstion for me and my dad to buiuld (pics soon). There are a few standard boxes for our cars tat are available from places like Best Buy or JCWhitney. DO NOT GET ONE OF THESE. You will not get the performance you are looking for. Also....avoid plates, or baffels, they do not perform anywhere close to a proper box.

For speakers, go with Infinity Kappa. Get the 3 way 6x9s. 693.1i is the number and they run anywhere from $120-$250. For the dash, get the 4x6 plates. I think the number is 462.1cf. In my opinion, they are the next best thing to component speakers and usually run about $100. I love the Kappa series of speakers. They sound better than just about anyhting out there in their price range and look realy cool.

If you can get kick pannels, they will sound alot better then 4x6's. and with subs, i would suggest, JL audio, the mtx 8000's, infinity perfect, kenwood tornado, and alpine.
