Sub Testing

How can i test my new subs without a crossover or an amp with a built in crossover and not destroy the woofers?

only thing i can think of is getting a test cd with just bass frequencies

I personaly wouldn't try doing that without a crossover. I have busted several subs running them without a crossover, they weren't car audio(home) but your facing the same chance.
