sony speakers?

sony speakers?

picked up a sub box in town for a good price, and the fella also included 2 sony xplod 12 subs.
anyone run these?
i was going with cerwin vegas, but may give them a try.

Had Sony mobile audio stuff in my wife's car years ago. Will NEVER put that crap back into any car I own ever again. Complete garbage! Head unit went out once or twice, amp took a crap three times and the subs blew without pushing them hard at all. Switched her stuff over and never looked back.

Subs are a bit more forgiving than mids & highs...
And it's hard to compare speakers unless you hear them side by side...
I'm going with CV subs in my car and have them in my home theater all around.
Most expensive speaker, no... sound good for the $$$. Friend brought over his SVS bookshelfs and center channel.
They did sound nicer than mine... They also cost $1700...
I'm happy with what I got and for what I paid... One day, I'll upgrade...
But you can't beat free... so try it, it may be fine...

good . i have cerwin vegas, 4 12s and 4 15s in the shop/mancave. sound great!
ill try these out as i install everything.
i have some door pods made by one of our members here that i also need to install
