yes, it is ~1986,seen quite a few of those in 1986-90 Pontiacs,but not '85s,so don/t think was avalible before '86,also no chevy version AFAIK.

Yup,... UT4 code for Firebird and Fiero.
I think it was used from 86-88. There was a similar head-unit made for Buick that had the same design / face-plate,..... but had a shiny black face-plate instead of Pontiac Gray.

Yes my first 1986, V6, special order Firebird had this radio and the gain slide switch.

Radio is for sale
Mid to late 80's Pontiac performance sound radio for sale. Worked great when pulled in 92 for a Cd player but sold as is no way to test. Only used for 6 years and no dead buttons. Very rare factory Radio that had the subwoofer gain sliding switch. $150 OBO
