A lot of us have done baffle boards. 1 or 2 will swear that they are the best thing since sliced bread and that they're just as good/almost as good as a regular box. The rest of us agree that baffle boards are pure crap. They sound terrible because it's impossible to completely seal the chamber.

What kind of car audio places are you going to? I've NEVER been to one that has ever had anything good to say about plates. You CAN'T seal the chamber. Even if it seals tight around the plate, there is a ton of air that will get around the plastic panels at the bottom and sides of the well, and will just get around at the top too. It can't be sealed unless you make extensive modifications that would be more costly and more difficult than just making a box.

A 10" tube will pound if you use a good sub and give it enough power. The 10" tube that I put into my friend's TA hit harder and sounded much better than the 2 12" subs I had sitting on a VERY well made baffle board.

all the time you spend on wasting on a baffle board you could have built a box...
