What OEM cd player will fit a thirdgen?

I'm looking into a cd player but the ones out there just don't look good to me. I'm thinking of a 4thgen cd player but I don't know if it will fit in the opening. I'm sure the wires won't be a problem to hook up if I have the harness.

You can buy an adapter kit that will allow you to use any regular DIN size player. DIN & a 1/2 is what fits normally. The kits usually run about 30 bucks...

Erik - have you tried calling Newell Electronics? Check them out at www.newellelectronics.com . They sell alot of OEM stereos and might be able to tell you what will fit. I like the look of OEM myself so I bought an OEM CD player. But now the CD player quit working, and it gets crappy radio reception so I'm gonna put my old Pioneer din-and-a-half CD player back in.

EDIT: Looks like Newell got bought out, but the link still works and take you to the new site. I checked it out and there are some CD players that look like they would work for you.

Hey Erik. Not too bad here. And yourself? I'd like to go but wife + baby + another baby on the way + new house = no time for me! I would like to go, but will depend on what's going on the homefront.
