how big of a CD changer can I fit in the rear "glove box"?
I am looking at getting the Pioneer 12 disk CD changer and wanted to know if it will fit in the rear storage area. The dimensions are: 10-1/8"W x 3-11/16"H x 7-3/8"D I am going to make a cardboard model that size to see if it fits if somebody can't tell me. If it doesn't fit I am going to have to get the 6 disk one. But I would really like the 12 disk.

I know a 6-pack will fit, a 12-pack would be close.
In my car the CD changer is located on the passenger side of the wheel well. There's a small "ledge" where just about any CD changer would fit perectly.

NEXT UP: TBI mods, Edelbrock performer intake

I put an Eclipse 12 disk back there, but I got rid of the little cadboard box thing. The changer sat towards the back of the car, with the changeropening lined up under the lid. I made an mdf mount that screwed into the body of the car.

Just going off of memory, it was approx 3 1/2" wide by about 7" high by about 11" long. It's gone to a better place now, so I can't measure it.

anyone thought of putting the changer in the compartment in the armrest? I know it would be a pita to cut the plastic but if you have junkyard parts you have at least two tries. I'm going to see if i can put a kenwood 10 disk in there.
