I never post anything just soak it all in but I was going through some albums and am going to start some threads. I am sure this has been done before but here it is again with a few photos.
I have a single 10inch jl audio subwoofer powered by a 400watt mono jl audio amp plus another 4 channel jl amp for components and 6x9
Sub box dimensions to come when I pull it out again.it is a ported box and unfortunately the wire as of right now is ran through the air hole.
The 2 amps are back to back with a piece of mdf board in between them that they are both screwed too for heat reasons. The bottom of the storage area has 2 amazon 4 inch computer fans laid flat wired to the amp blowing air up. There is a lip in there that the fans sit snuggle into. I then glued a piece of mdf to the rear shock tower and screwed another piece onto it once the amps are placed into the hole to prevent movement it is a snug fit.
i did it last year dont have the dimensions with me but it all has worked so far.
For the sub box it is kind of like the shape of 2 boxes think of one tall box like a cereal box and one square box that fits the sub but with sections cut out. I am not a huge bass nut or need crazy loud sub but it does sound good one 10inch is the perfect setup my car is a 91 vert. The 6 inch components and 6x9 it all sounds good together
this was before the amps got moved for test wiring.
I am looking for ways to get some bass in my vert. Is this a port on the left hand side of that box? How does it sound with the top down? I never have the top up, and figured it would be muffled due to the top folded up back there.

I don't remember honestly how it sounded with the top down. It will always block some sound but It all sounded pretty good theres still the 6x9 in the sail panels and 6.5 in front doors. I usually have the rear seat down that probably helps a little but there will always be a struggle, especially depending on how loud your exhaust is with a vert. The only other option would be to cut out the middle section of rear seat back install a speaker or speakers there and then bolt that piece that has speakers mounted to the 2 halves of the rear seat kind of like a 2 layer backing to the rear seat.

Hi, I was wondering, how did you anchor your subwoofer box?
Thanks in advance.

Its not anchored down yet its such a tight fit that it can't move but I will probably add some L shaped brackets to the front side were speaker face is and trunk hump can probably add one to the top of it too

Ok, I have the same type of set up but I need to anchor it, I am worried for the rattle from the vibrations if I use metal brackets, with metal screws on metal panel.

That box looks like a good fit just curious how does it sound with the speaker pointing to the bottom of trunk. I wonder if it would sound better facing towards the inside of trunk space. I hear you for the rattle problem maybe you can isolate the metal bracket with some kind of rubber under the metal then screw through the metal and rubber together. Or wherever you place the bracket maybe you can run a bolt lock washer and nut or nylon nut that won't vibrate loose
