I'm gonna get a new amp here in a couple of months. I'm thinking about the JBL 600.1 (300wx1 at 4 ohms 600 watts x 1 at 2 ohms )
anyway what would be better for subwoofers? one rockford 12" hx2 or two 12" infinity reference subs? I would wire it so I'd be getting 600w, just turn the gain down a tad. thanks for everybodys help! I don't know what I would do without this board!

I'd say go with Rockford also if it's a Dual Voice Coil and replace the Reference one you already have. Or buy another box and another Reference.

 

i'd agree on going with the one rockford. that way, if you really want a second, you can always get it later.

 

ok everybody, I'm not trying to sound like an *** but maybe I miswrote that. ok I already have 1 reference sub, what I was wondering is, would it be better to get 1 more reference and run about 250w to each(I'd cut it back some because they can only handle 300w) or one hx2 and run about 500w to it, (because they can only handle that.) I was just wondering what would hit harder? 2 12's at 250w for 500w or one 12 with 500w? sorry I should have prashed that better to start out with.

 

2-12's because you have more cone surface.
